SAVE THE DATE! Iowa’s Area Education Agencies (AEAs), Iowa Association of School Boards^® (IASB^®) & School Administrators of Iowa (SAI) invite you to the 2026 Day on the Hill! This advocacy event will begin at the State Historical Building in the morning for an optional brief session on talking points and logistical information for advocating at the Capitol. Following the training, attendees will head to the Capitol to meet and network with legislators in the rotunda and to support the displays showing innovative programs and initiatives happening in Iowa public schools.

Call for Day on the Hill Student Showcase Submissions

At the third annual Day on the Hill hosted by Iowa's AEAs, ISAB, and SAI, we're shining a spotlight on the incredible programs, student achievements, and creative initiatives happening across the state. We want to showcase exhibitions that highlight the great things your students are achieving!

Share Your Story! We are seeking exhibit applications that:
1) Highlights an innovative program, student achievement, or creative initiative in your district.
2) Showcases how your students' experiences have benefited them and their community.
3) Shares the value of public school programs.

Application:
- The application deadline is Monday, August 25th.
- Student Showcase Exhibits will be selected in the Fall. The status of your application will be communicated at that time.
- Selected districts will exhibit in the Capitol rotunda on Monday, January 26th.
